The school had its humble beginning in June 1983 in the spacious gorund in front of the Vishnu temple at Govindamangalam with 27 students, one teacher and an ayah. An additional teacher was appointed in 1984 and the UKG class was also started. As it grew in size, it was shifted to Naruvamoodu. Four acres of land was purchased in the early nineties and the school was shifted to its new location in 1995, with a small building  and additional sheds  constructed to accommodate the classes, as the number of students grew rapidly. The new building in which the primary and high school sections are functioning now was constructed in 2002. The building was inaugurated by Poojya Guruji on September 2, 2002. Now it stands tall with a total strength of over 987 students and 65staff.Pujya Guruji inaugurated the new block on October 24th 2011.

        Swami Chinmayanandaji, a visionary, had foreseen the need of our and set his sights on the overall development of the young minds. So all Chinmaya Vidyalayas follow the Chinmaya Vission Programme, which aims at holistic development of the students. ie. physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual. It also inculcates in children a pride towards Indian culture and Patriotism with an Universal outlook. With this vission in mind alll Chinmaya Vidyalayas trained the students.

        Last academic year we presented 28 students for CBSE board exam. As usual we had 100% results with four students securing A1 in all subjects. The school is following CBSE syllabus.
